So you go to all your favorite electronic stores and notice a new form of DVD technology. This technology is called Blu-Ray. what is Blu-Ray? It seems to most that it is just a brand and nothing new. Besides why pay for that when you can just get an upconvert DVD player or HD-DVD? Allow me to introduce you to this technology and help answer "is Blu-Ray really worth it?"

If you love movie watching, and don't feel like paying $10 for every movie, do yourself a favor.

Go and look at the Blu-Ray experience at your local electronics store. It will BLOW YOUR MIND.

The picture is amazing, all movies are shot in the highest resolution possible which is 1080p. What is 1080p? That will be discussed on another page. 

After viewing some scenes from movies and hearing the amazing digital sound, you will then be faced with ever growing options of Blu-Ray players. Also there are some needed accessories.

A)Sony. Why Sony, they are the leaders and inventors of Blu-Ray technology. Sony definitely has the market cornered,beating out Toshiba for HD-DVD supremacy.

B)Samsung. Sleek design, and great performance. Samsung is one of the first to jump on the Blu-Ray train.

These are not the only two available, and there will be many more to come as this technology catches on. It is expensive. But as we all know as technology progresses and the next new player comes out, the prices will go down.
